SARSIA INNOVATION AS

 

Sarsia Innovation is part of a larger commercialisation and investment cluster located in the building that houses VilVite, a science discovery centre for the promotion of science and technology in Bergen.

 

The origins of the Sarsia group of companies date back to 1996 and stem from the University of Bergen.

The local commercialisation activities started with the foundation of Forinnova in 1999. By 2001, Forinnova had evolved into
an early- stage investor, and went on to become Sarsia Innovation.

 

Sarsia Innovation has supported a range of research- based commercialisation initiatives since its establishment, including the Sarsia Seed fund, Sarsia Life Science Fund, Sarsia Development and the local incubator Nyskapingsparken.

 

Sarsia Innovation currently focuses on the further development and divestment of its investments in the life science and energy sectors.
